OVERSEAS 11 - The Market

On the last day went to a market at 6.30 am to buy local rice as it is cheaper than back in Walewale. I saw the grain mill and the women winnowing the rice to remove the chaff.
Winnowing the rice.                                                                     One bowl of rice cost 2 cedis, about £1

I was also entertained by watching how many people could be squeezed into one lorry!

This is not an unusual sight out here.

The grain market.
I loved this sign on the back of the lorry - "Still  Hope, No Harry in Life."
The grain mill.
Yes, this man really is asleep on a window sill. Ghanaians can sleep anywhere!
